A well designed tropical home, with
good infrastructure and modern conveniences, and life is very relaxed!
Building costs are low and you won't receive an electricity bill. Relax
in your hammock and wait for the local fishermen to bring you fresh fish
(at $1 per pound) and lobster. Open, tropical design allows for a crossflow
of cooling breezes. You may build in concrete or timber, of which there
is more than enough supply on the property without any detrimental effect
on the environment. Local wood cutters are expert with chainsaws and will
cut the lumber to your exact requirements, as well as obtain the required
permits. A good solar system with back-up generator will give you all the
electricity you need. Satelite TV will keep you up with the latest news
and provide entertainment. The Caribbean party scene is alive and well
in Bocas, if you so choose, or just relax in the edenesque tranquility.
